The Serpentine Galleries is delighted to present a series of 21 unique drawings by Yona Friedman on the occasion of his 2016 Summer House.

Each of the drawings, which are made on white, printed or translucent tracing paper, are based on Friedman’s modular and geometric Summer House design. These architectural sketches are executed in Friedman’s unique style, which are evident in his pioneering watercolour works La Ville Spatiale (begun in the 1950s), whilst they also capture the atmosphere of the natural landscape in which his Summer House is situated.
