Rebecca Warren is perhaps best known for her clay pieces that are roughly-worked and unfired. Her sculptures in both clay and bronze range from amorphous forms to more recognisably figurative works, together with pieces that embrace both the formal and the grotesque.

They appear unfinished at first glance with the form in flux, morphing in and out of the material. Created on a variety of scales, they often focus on the sexuality of the female body.

This definitive exhibition catalogue of the Serpentine show features essays by critics Martin Herbert and Barry Schwabsky as well as an interview with Rebecca Warren.
