Serpentine Galleries are delighted to present this Limited Edition vinyl released by The Vinyl Factory on the occasion of the exhibition Rachel Rose: Palisades at the Serpentine North Gallery, London. It features the soundtrack from Rose’s work Palisades in Palisades (2014), which is also presented in the exhibition as a site-specific sound installation.
Rachel Rose was born in 1986, and currently lives and works in New York. Recent exhibitions include Visitors, Governor’s Island, New York (2015); Cloud Cover, CCS Bard College, Hessel Museum, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York (2015); The Importance of Being a (Moving) Image, National Gallery, Prague (2015); The Great Acceleration, Taipei Biennial (2014); Phantom Limbs, Pilar Corrias Gallery, London (2014); A Minute Ago, High Art, Paris (2014); Chance Motives, SculptureCenter, New York (2013); Geographies of Contamination, David Roberts Art Foundation, London (2013); and Uncanny Valleys, Electronic Arts Intermix, New York (2013). Rose is the winner of the 2015 Frieze Art Award and the 2014 illy Present Future Award. Forthcoming solo exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2015); Castello di Rivoli, Turin (2015); and the Aspen Art Museum (2016).
