David Tremlett

Abyssinia (1989)

Screen print

55.8 x 75.2 cms

Edition of 100

Hand signed and numbered by the artist

This print (from an edition of 100) was published by the Serpentine Gallery on the occasion of Tremlett's solo exhibition in 1989. The truncated image of the central letters from the word 'Abyssinia' demonstrates a use of word as image that is characteristic of conceptual art. This print was the first ever limited edition release by Serpentine.
